Determined by Mike Quinn, who said: “Two head tubercles is a shared character between Xylobiops pariliss and Xylobiops sextuberculatus, but glabrous elytra, distinct red and black areas in wings, southwest distribution indicates Xylobiops parilis. Additionally, X. texanus and X. sextuberculatus both have pubescence on wings, and the coloration is a blended brown and black.”
