There were many specimens on or in rotting saguaro cactus. The cactus had attracted many other insects such as robber flies, clown beetles, and several types of small flies
Determined by Tim Struyve who said: “Looks like a Belonuchus ephippiatus, I can’t exclude B. erythropterus.”
