The mission of the Trans-Pecos Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program is to develop a group of well-informed volunteers to provide education,outreach and service dedicated toward the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas. Course topics include:

We are now taking applications for the Junior Master Naturalist Program.
Trans Pecos Junior Master Naturalist Camp
Course itinerary:
August 9th – native plants, making seed bombs with native plant seeds, nature journaling at Keystone Heritage Park, 4200 Doniphan Drive
August 16th – rocks in our geographical location, snake education with live visual aids (snakes), nature journaling at TecH20, 10751 Montana Avenue
August 23rd – owls, owl pellet dissection, second part of snake education with live visual aids, nature journaling at El Paso Museum of Archaeology, 4301 Woodrow Bean Trans-mountain
Holiday Break on August 30th
September 6th – bats of the Trans Pecos area, native pollinators, leave no trace principles and nature journaling at Keystone Heritage Park, 4200 Doniphan
September 13th – community service project and closing ceremony at Keystone Heritage Park, 4200 Doniphan
*The times for the sessions are 9am to 12pm but might possibly change to 8am to 11am if weather or unforeseeable circumstances warrant so. Participants will receive advance notice of any changes.
