On May 26, 2016 I found a pigeon carcass in advanced state of decomposition crawling with large dipteran larvae. I placed four of the fly larvae and one pupa into a container with soil. The larvae went into pupation within one day. All the adult flies first appeared on June 7 (12 days later).
