The Expanded Nutrition Program (ENP) has provided Nutrition Education to El Paso families with children and youth of limited income for over 30 years. The program teaches classes to small groups held in schools, clinics, transition and other community centers throughout El Paso.
Trained program staff with over 60 years of combined experience conduct classes with the cooperation of a number of community partners and the help of volunteers. Classes are free of charge and educational materials are provided with each class.
Our Program links listed to your right will give you more information about our two teaching programs (Adult and Youth) and class schedules, as well as, a look at our program committee and annual Christmas Open House and Silent Auction.

Resource Committee Resource Committee
The Resource Committee serves as an advisory group to the El Paso Expanded Nutrition Program. Group members represent community partners for the program. Current members include representatives from:
Aliviane, Inc., Region 19 Head Start, Paso Del Norte Health Foundation, City-County Health & Environmental District/WIC, Dismas Charities, Communities In Schools, UT Health Science Center - EP, and community volunteers.
Our committee meets at least twice during the year. A major project of the committee is our annual Christmas Open House and Silent Auction held early in December each year. You can go to the Open House link to your right to find out more about this event.

Open House Annual Christmas Open House and Silent Auction
Our annual Open House is a time to honor all our volunteers for all their hard work during the year. Our volunteers add to the success of the program, helping recruit clientele and new partners, securing materials and facilities for our classes, assisting with classes, and helping retain resources for our staff.
The Silent Auction is a fun way to raise money for this annual event. Staff and Resource Committee members contribute items to be auctioned off during our festivities. It is always exciting to see who and how much someone has bid on the item you most want and get into the competition and fun.
This occasion is also a time when family members of our staff can come and celebrate what ENP and their loved one does for our community.
This event is held early in December each year.
